Noida: DME Media School inaugurated its much-awaited two-day annual convention-cum-festival, “Vritika 2025,” on November 11 at the Nelson Mandela Auditorium, Noida Sector-62. The grand event, now in its 10th edition, opened with a vibrant celebration of creativity, intellect, and media excellence.
The festival is being held under the guidance of Dr. Parul Mehra, Head, DME Media School and Convenor of Vritika, along with Ms. Garima Jain, Co-Convenor. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Justice Bhawar Singh, Director, DME, and Prof. (Dr.) Komal Vig, Director, DME, who commended the initiative for offering students a platform to learn, express, and innovate in the ever-evolving media landscape.
Hosted by Ms. Divya Rastogi, the inaugural session featured a distinguished panel of media professionals — Mr. Akhilesh Sharma, Managing Director, NDTV; Ms. Bhawna Sharma, Anchor, Doordarshan; Mr. Amit Bhatia, ABP Entertainment Live; and Mr. Rohit Ranjan, Anchor, News Nation. The panelists were conferred with the Ganesh Vidyarthi Award for their exemplary contributions to journalism.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Akhilesh Sharma emphasized that “journalism can never be unethical” and urged aspiring journalists to uphold sincerity and truth in their work. Mr. Amit Bhatia shared his insights on creativity, stressing that journalism is not about virality but about “thinking outside the box and making the most of every opportunity.”
Ms. Bhawna Sharma inspired students by highlighting the value of perseverance and passion, advising them to “enjoy their work rather than compete constantly.” In a heartfelt video message, Mr. Rohit Ranjan congratulated DME Media School on the success of Vritika 2025 and encouraged students to remain diligent and dedicated in their journey toward success.
The vote of thanks for the inaugural ceremony was delivered by Dr. Vishal Sahai, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty, and organizing team for their collective efforts in making the event a success.
Day 1 of Vritika 2025 witnessed a series of engaging competitions such as Digital Art, Pitch It, Nukkad Natak, and Open Mic, providing students from across Delhi an opportunity to showcase their creativity, talent, and team spirit. The vibrant energy, enthusiasm, and camaraderie among participants marked the beginning of an event that continues to celebrate innovation and the spirit of media education.
